Confections Cake Co. Policies 
 

Custom Orders, Lead Times & Emails
 

We appreciate 7 days notice for any custom cake or pastry order. While we can often accommodate orders with less notice, one week is our standard requirement.

Please allow 1 to 3 business days for a response to all emails and inquiries. Response times may be longer during weekends, holidays, or high volume periods. We appreciate your patience and will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you are looking to place a last minute order or require immediate assistance, please call the shop directly at 587 873 6502. Last minute orders may be subject to a 10 percent late fee.
 

Dietary Restrictions & Allergies
 

Please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies when placing your order.

We are proud to offer gluten friendly, nut friendly, and vegan options. However, Confections Cake Co. cannot guarantee that any product is completely gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, or nut free. Cross contamination may occur in our kitchen or from our suppliers.
 

In Store Offerings
 

We welcome you to visit us in store to enjoy our standard desserts and showcase cakes, available for dine in or takeout.

Some items may not be available for takeout depending on how they are served. Our standard 6 inch showcase cakes are available daily while quantities last, or can be ordered with 24 hours notice.
 

Payment & Order Policy
 

Full payment is required at the time of order for all orders totaling $100 or less. For orders over $100, a 50 percent non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due at pickup.

All payments made are non refundable.

Order Pickup & Responsibility
 

Upon pickup, we kindly ask that you carefully review your order to ensure all details including colours, decorations, quantity, and spelling are correct. You will be required to sign a pickup disclaimer confirming that the order meets your expectations.

Once the order leaves our possession, Confections Cake Co. is not liable for any damage that occurs during transport, setup, or display. By signing the pickup disclaimer, you also acknowledge that payment is non refundable.

If someone else is picking up your order on your behalf, they assume full responsibility for reviewing the order and signing the disclaimer.

 

Baking & Cooking Classes

All baking and cooking classes must be paid in full at the time of registration. All class payments are non refundable.

If you are unable to attend a class, we are happy to transfer you into a future class of equal or lesser value with a minimum of 48 hours notice. Requests made within 48 hours of the class are not eligible for transfer or credit. This policy is strictly enforced with no exceptions.

Registrations are fully transferable, and you may send a friend or family member in your place if needed.

Registration must be completed at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled class.

All participants are required to sign a waiver prior to the start of class, acknowledging the possibility of injury and releasing Confections Cake Co. from liability.

We teach all classes in a fun and safe environment with proper instruction on tools and equipment.

If a minor is registered, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver on their behalf.
 

Private Events

Booking a private event at Confections Cake Co. requires a non refundable booking fee of $150 plus tax to reserve your date and time. This fee secures the space, allows us to close to the public, and ensures appropriate staffing. The booking fee is separate from the minimum spend and does not go toward the hourly minimum.

Private events are subject to a minimum spend of $250 per hour plus a minimum 18 percent gratuity. Higher minimums may apply depending on the day and time, including peak hours, mid day closures, or bookings on days we are typically closed.

The minimum spend may be met through food and beverage purchases from our regular or catering menus. Catering menus are available upon request.

If the minimum spend is met, only gratuity and booking fees apply. If not, the remaining balance will be added to the final bill.

Custom cakes, specialty desserts, and private classes do not count toward the minimum spend.

Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
 

High Tea

High Tea at Confections Cake Co. starts at $65 per guest plus tax and must be booked in advance. Pricing may vary for select events with added features such as take home items, live music, or entertainment. A 50 percent non refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation.

Seating times are 11 AM and 2 PM with a maximum 2 hour experience. Group sizes range from 2 to 15 guests. High Tea is hosted once per month and full dates are available on our events page.

Each experience includes pastries, sandwiches, scones, desserts, and tea. All items are handmade in house. Our menu changes with each event to provide a unique experience every time.

We also offer High Tea to go on event dates and cater off site High Tea experiences. Off site pricing will vary.

All payments and deposits are non refundable.

Guest counts cannot be reduced once booked. If a guest is unable to attend, we will package their High Tea for takeout.
