We use real butter in our house made Italian buttercream. If you plan to refrigerate your cake for a time before serving, it is best to have it out at room temperature for 2-3 hours before serving so that the buttercream is nice & soft. 

We do not use any preservatives in our cakes. They are best enjoyed within 48 hours of purchase.
