So, who are we? Let's start with Brittany... Britt grew up in Comox, BC where she studied & graduated from Vancouver Island University under the Professional Baking & Pastry Arts program, as well as the Culinary Arts program at North Island College. After graduating Brittany was offered an apprenticeship at Duchess Bake Shop in Edmonton, Alberta is where she first began her career as a professional pastry chef. Soon after Brittany started to re-visit her passion for decorating specialty cakes when a friend sought Britt out to create her special wedding cake. She has been working towards opening her own memorable Cake Shop & Dessert Bar ever since... After a gentle shove from her partner Jarrett, together they decided to take the plunge & open their own location, Confections Cake Co EST. 30/11/2017

Shortly after opening, Jarrett resigned from his prior career to join Confections full time. With a background in Social Media Coordination & Inventory Management he does just that. Along with managing our Social Media platforms & Inventory, Jarrett organizes all our private events, & creates our website content while referring to himself in the 3rd person. He is also Confections official taste-tester.

Alex has been with us since the beginning, & we could not be more grateful to have such a dedicated friend & employee. The girls have awesome chemistry in the kitchen, having worked together in the past & becoming friends over the years - Alex is a key aspect to our continued success at Confections Cake Co. Our Head Pastry Chef is a Red Seal Baker having graduated from N.A.I.T in the City of Edmonton. She brightens up our day & sweetens up yours ~ Thank You Alex!

Tessa started out as one of our favorite regulars! Stopping by Confections for an Americano & the odd treat during her study sessions - now she's trapped here & is always trying to escape so she can keep up with her homework at Uni. (kidding!). 

Tessa does it all, serving customers in the dessert bar, whipping up fancy lattes, & even decorating stellar custom cookies behind the scenes. 

They say you should never hire your customers... I don't know who "they" are, but I bet they wish they had Tessa on their team!
